KARACHI: Sindh Minister Education and Literacy, Jam Mehtab Hussain Dahar was told that over 2000 schools are working under the Sindh Education Foundation (SEF) and over half a million students were getting a quality education in these institutions.

Speaking on the occasion, the minister said that getting an education is a fundamental right of every child and the SEF is fully committed to ensuring that access to quality education is provided to all the children in Sindh.
“The role of SEF in spreading education to deserving students in remote areas is very important,” he said.
Jam Mehtab asked SEF MD to take drastic measures to contain the drop out ratio and adopt a multidimensional approach to provide education to adults and adolescents under the non-formal education program.
He stated that work should be done on an emergency basis to implement policies and the schools under SEF should work in two shifts as the number of students is increasing.
