LAHORE: The National Accountability Beauru (NAB) has given the deadline of December 15 to Pakistan Muslim League-Quaid (PML-Q) leaders Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi and Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain to appear before the accountability watchdog in person and divulge their asset and income information.

Earlier both the PML-Q leaders were directed to appear at the NAB’s Lahore office on November 6 and provide details of their assets and sources of income.

NAB has launched an investigation against Chaudhry Shujaat Hussain and Chaudhry Pervaiz Elahi for possession of assets beyond known sources of income. They are also incriminated for alleged misuse of authority and funds worth Rs2.43 billion.

The corruption case against the Chaudhrys of Gujrat is among the 179 mega corruption scandals, a list of which was compiled by NAB and submitted to the Supreme Court in July 2015.
