RAWALPINDI: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan on Wednesday had a chance meeting with Jamaat-e-Islami chief Sirajul Haq at Islamabad’s Benazir Bhutto International Airport (BBIA).
Both the leaders discussed the current political situation of the country and merger of the Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) with Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP).
According to report, both the leaders also discussed the matters relating to the KP government in which both the PTI and Jamaat-e-Islami are coalition partners.
Imran Khan was present at the airport to depart for Karachi on a three-day visit to Sindh.
On Tuesday, opposition parties formed a parliamentary committee on to hold talks with the Pakistan Muslim League Nawaz (PML-N)-led government over the issue of FATA reforms bill.
IMRAN KHAN REACHES KARACHI:
Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairperson Imran Khan reached Karachi on Wednesday on a four-day visit.
The PTI leader is expected to meet the representatives of Korangi Association of Trade and Industry Wednesday afternoon, he will also attend the party’s membership camp at Malir.
Khan is expected to address a press conference at 4:30pm at the residence of PTI Karachi leader Firdaus Shamim Naqvi, according to sources.
He will address a workers’ convention at 5pm and later visit PTI leader Haleem Adil Sheikh’s residence to express his condolences on the demise of his brother.
