ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Information, Broadcasting, National Heritage and Literary Heritage Marriyum Aurangzeb on Sunday said in a statement that Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan was making a fool out of himself through his speeches by repeating the same hackneyed rhetoric
She was responding to the PTI chief’s attacks on the government at a public rally in Sheikhupura.
The state minister said that instead of hurling baseless allegations against others, Imran must tell people how many power projects he initiated during the last four years. She demanded to know where the 350 small dams and the justice bus were and when the PTI chairman was going to unlock the Ehtesab Commission in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KPK).
She asked what Imran had done in the past four years other than fabricating lies and hurling abuses at others.
she further said that had Imran done as much as he had promised to do for the people of KPK, people would not be holding protest demonstrations outside his Bani Gala residence.
Marriyum said that the entire nation was awaiting the authorities’ verdict in cases against Imran Khan related to laundering money, raising money through gambling, foreign funding and involvement in the attacks on the parliament house and PTV headquarters.
She further claimed that the federal government was doing in KPK what PTI was supposed to do for the people of the province “because Imran Khan remained perched on the container”.
Continuing her criticism against the PTI chief, she said that he should at least start a rickshaw service if he was unable to start a metro bus project. She challenged Imran Khan to utter “three lines” on the performance of his government if he could during his next “mini public rally”.
