LGH starts low-cost treatment for patients with prostate problems

LAHORE: As good news for the patients suffering from prostate problems, bipolar TURP treatment at Lahore General Hospital (LGH) by latest equipment has started its operation which would of be of low cost and more effective especially for heart patients.

According to the details, this machine worth Rs30 lac has been donated for the LGH with the special efforts of Professor Dr Mohammad Nazir who has completed four successful operations through this system already and patients have recovered fully.

Post Graduate Medical Institute Principal Professor Dr Ghias Nabi Tayyab expressed satisfaction and said that this Bipolar TURP would be low cost and more beneficial for the patients as it would cost Rs3 lac in the private sector while at LGH it would be almost free of cost. He lauded the efforts of Dr Mohammad Nazir and said that in LGH, many achievements have been made in different sectors and medical facilities were being provided to the patients not only from Lahore but from all over Punjab.

He also praised the person who donated the money to buy the machine for the betterment of common man, which would be helpful for thousands of families.

Talking in this regard, Professor of Urology Dr Mohammad Nazir said that this treatment would be a ray of hope for the patients. He expressed determination that efforts would continue to further provide best possible facilities to the people visiting the hospital.
