Interpol refuses to issue Brahumdagh’s red warrant

ISLAMABAD: The International Criminal Police Organisation (Interpol) has refused to issue the red warrant for leader of banned Baloch Republican Party (BRP) Brahumdagh Bugti.

It may be mentioned here that the Foreign Ministry had approached Interpol for the issuance of red warrant against Brahumdagh.

Interpol rejected the request over concerns over Brahumdagh becoming a target of political revenge. Under the rules, red warrant for Bugti’s arrest could not be issued due to concerns about political vengeance.

It may be mentioned here that Interpol had also refused to issue red warrant for Muttahida Quami Movement (MQM) Founder Altaf Hussain.

Pakistan plea to Interpol for the issuance of red warrant against Brahumdagh included details of cases registered against him.
