Haider says AJK govt starts development schemes without discrimination

MUZAFFARABAD: Azad Jammu Kashmir (AJK) Prime Minister Raja Farooq Haider has said that the Hattain district is a gateway to Srinagar and the state government has started development schemes of public needs without any political and social discrimination.

Speaking at the condolence reference organised in the memorial of the late Zafarullah Abbasi, by Member of Legislative Assembly (MLA) Dr Mustafa Bashir here on Saturday, he paid rich tributes to the late Abbasi, saying that he spent all his life in the service of the poor and needy.

“‘We have long term family relations with the Abbasi family whose efforts were always to facilitate others,” he said and pointed out names of the personalities of the area, including his father Raja Muhammad Haider Khan, former senior minister Sahibzada Ishaq Zafar, Raja Latif Khan, Munshi Ali Gohar, Sardar Hameedullah Khan, Ali Khan Chughtai and others.

“‘There is no one else superior around the globe but Almighty Allah. In the Quran, Almighty Allah said that those who live and work for the improvement of humanity remain alive forever. When Almighty Allah gives authority, it would be obligatory that the leader should serve the people by establishing political and social justice,”’ he said.

Former minister Dewaan Ali Chughtai, Rafaqat Awan, Shaukat Javed Mir, Dr Muhammad Arif, Raja Imtiaz Ahmed Khan, and other political leaders also addressed the gathering and paid tribute to the late leader.
