LONDON: Former prime minister Muhammad Nawaz Sharif and his daughter Maryam Nawaz have delayed their return to Pakistan by four days, a private TV channel reported on Saturday.
The channel reported that the former prime minister and his daughter, also a member of the ruling party, were to leave the British capital for Pakistan on Sunday (December 10), but they will now be returning to the country on December 14.
On the other hand, former first lady Kulsoom Nawaz shifted to the home on Saturday after her Positron Emission Tomography (PET) and Gallium scans. The channel reported that more tests were expected to be carried out during the next week where Nawaz Sharif is likely to be present.
On Friday, Kulsoom was shifted to the hospital for medical tests after her third chemotherapy session, Maryam had tweeted. The former first lady is undergoing chemotherapy in London after being diagnosed with lymphoma — a cancer of the lymph nodes.
Maryam said that her mother was taken to the hospital for a CT and Gallium scan after her third chemotherapy session. The scans were conducted to assess the response to the treatment. Nawaz Sharif is in London after the court had exempted him for a short duration from appearing in the hearings held for the NAB references registered against him.
