LAHORE: International journalism conference and award ceremony will be held today (Saturday) in Lahore, Prof Aamir Rafique announced.
The conference head said that national as well as experts from 10 foreign organisations will also participate in the two-day long conference. In this conference, known columnists, TV anchors and journalists will talk on different issues relating to the media.
In the inaugural session, Prof Dr Mugheesuddin Sheikh, Rameeza Nizami, Chritin Zaram, Shamsul Haq and Martin Kobler will address the participants. Chief Minister Muhammad Shehbaz Sharif is also expected to join the conference.
In the second session, local and foreign journalists will talk about freedom of expressions. On the second day, scholars, media experts, teachers and students will present 75 research papers in three sessions. Final session of the conference will be addressed by Dr Bushra H Rehman, Dr Mughees, Dr HA Sherazi and certificates will be awarded on best research papers as well as best teachers.
