KARACHI: Karachi police claimed to have arrested 12 criminals, including four smugglers, in different parts of the city in the wee hours of Friday.
During a search operation in Shah Latif Town, the police detained three robbers and recovered three-TT pistols with rounds, cell phones and looted cash from them.
Meanwhile, Zaman Town police arrested an accused and recovered a 30-bore TT pistol with rounds and a motorbike from him.
In different targeted raids in Malir, Orangi Town and Ittehad Town, the police detained three drug peddlers including a woman and recovered 45 grams heroin, wine and gutka from their possession.
In different search operations in Monghopir, Surjani Town, and Mouchko areas police apprehended three smugglers and recovered smuggled laptops, spare parts and medicines from them.
Surjani Town police arrested an accused and recovered 800 litres of smuggled Iranian Diesel from him.
In another raid in Mouchko areas, police arrested a jeep driver with 1200 litres of smuggled Iranian diesel.
The police have registered FIRs against arrested and accused and have started further investigations.
