KARACHI: A judicial magistrate in Karachi on Friday sent four suspects involved in the Do Darya murder case to jail on judicial remand.
The four suspects – Haider Hussain Burney, Hassan Hussain Burney, Raza Hussain Burney and Abdul Rehman – were presented before the court for a hearing on 18-year-old Zafir’s murder on Sea View road on December 4, and were sent to the jail on a judicial remand.
The court, moreover, gave orders for the arrest of a fifth suspect who fled from the crime scene after the incident and is still on the loose.
A day earlier, police had assured the court that raids were underway for the apprehension of the fifth suspect.
On December 4, Zafir, an 18-year-old student at DHA college, was killed and another youth was injured in a gun attack, after the two youths had an accident with a motorcycle and were subsequently chased down by a double-cabin vehicle from which suspects had opened indiscriminate firing on them.
