Steps taken to improve performance of Islamabad Police, NA told

ISLAMABAD: Minister of State for Interior Talal Chaudhry on Friday informed the national assembly that various steps have been taken to improve performance of Islamabad Police.

Chaudhary while responding to a question during question hour, informed the house that modern reporting rooms have been established at fourteen police stations in the federal capital.

He said that receptions have been set up and human right officers have been appointed in police stations to ensure professionalism. He said that regular training courses are also conducted to enhance capacity building of the police force.

Minister for Postal Services Maulana Amir Zaman has informed the house that a summary has been sent for approval to allot government residential accommodations to the employees of all the constitutional bodies, including National Assembly and Senate Secretariat.

He was responding to a calling attention notice regarding non-allotment and delivery of government residential accommodations to the employees of National Assembly and Senate Secretariat.

The House has now been adjourned due to lack of quorum and will meet again on Monday at 4: 00 pm.
