PFA seizes 6000kg filthy fish in Rawalpindi

RAWALPINDI: Residents of Rawalpindi and adjoining areas are made to purchase filthy fish as markets are over flooded and there are less consumers.

Realizing the gravity of the situation, the Punjab Food Authority (PFA), which normally pays attention to restaurants, bakeries, milk and meat, raided several outlets and seized huge quantity of spoiled and filthy fish which was disposed off later.

According to details, the PFA team on a tip-off regarding sale of spoiled fish conducted operation in Ganj Mandi area of Rawalpindi. During operation, 6000 kilograms spoiled and filthy fish was spoiled which was disposed off later.
