ISLAMABAD: The Federation of all Pakistan Universities Academic Staff Association (FAPUASA) threatened to protest throughout the country if the concerned authorities continued to ignore the violations and irregularities at COMSATS Institute of Information Technology (CIIT), Islamabad.
Taking serious notice of the complaints by CIIT faculty, FAPUASA Central President Dr Kaleemullah Barech and FAPUASA President Dr Shehzad Ashraf, Islamabad chapter lamented over the violations and irregularities and appealed to the chancellor to take immediate action of against the senior management.
The faculty members in a joint statement said that the years-long services of employees and faculty at CIIT are being terminated without any notice by the administration where some top management people are involved in getting a salary from three different organizations.
The academic freedom and freedom of expression have been deliberately curtailed to suppress the voices of faculty who played an important role in making CIIT a reputed organization.
They also announced that if any attention was not paid by the concerned authorities, FAPUASA would announce a protest throughout the country.
