Historical heritage of minorities much safe as compared to other countries: Khalil Tahir

LAHORE: Punjab Minister for Human Rights and Minority Affairs, Khalil Tahir Sandhu on Thursday has said that the historical heritage of minorities across the Pakistan is much safer as compared to the rest of the world and that the Punjab government is paying great attention to religious worship places of minorities across the province.

Khalil Tahir said that he condemned the incident of Babri Masjid in India and appealed to the superpowers of the world to perform their main role to ensure that such an incident should not be repeated in any country in the future.

The minister said that the government of the Punjab is working on securing the minority’s worshipers, their graves, upgrading of roads and their welfare work. He said that the supply of 30 million special funds is being ensured from the government of Punjab so that the minority members can spend on development projects in their respective constituencies.
