Sindh IGP takes notice of traffic gridlock

KARACHI: Sindh Inspector General of Police (IGP) AD Khawaja on Wednesday took notice of severe traffic gridlocks on various roads of the city and directed the deputy inspector general (DIG) traffic for taking immediate steps to improve the situation.

The IGP directed senior superintendents of police (SSPs) traffic zones to take immediate steps to ensure an uninterrupted flow of traffic and to deploy police officers and personnel on the affected roads, said a statement issued on Wednesday.

He also instructed for special security measures to be taken on roads facing frequent traffic jams for the security of citizens.
