KARACHI: The city will witness a significant drop in the temperature in the next two to three days due to Siberian winds blowing from the north-west, the meteorological department said on Tuesday.
Regional Metrological Centre Director Shahid Abbas said that the winds will settle down from Saturday onwards.
The metropolis experienced 4% humidity on Tuesday causing dry conditions, according to Abbas. The speed of wind was recorded between 25 to 30 kilometres per hour which may rise up to 40 kilometres per hour in the coming weeks.
Air is carrying dust particles which will be hard to settle as there is severe lack of rains in the area.
Balochistan is presently witnessing a cold spell as mercury has dropped to minus 10 in Quetta and minus 12 in Qalat, according to Abbas.
