LAHORE: A social movement on art and literature, Children Literature Festival (CLF) in collaboration with Walled City of Lahore Authority (WCLA), has been rescheduled from January 12 to14, 2018 inside the walled city.

In the best interest of the children, participants and the public, the organisers took this decision following the recent events in Pakistan. Organised in collaboration with CLF and WCLA, the festival intends to bring together children from all parts of the city and promote young talent.

The festival will also include a discussion on the interaction between cultural preservation and the youth in a globalised world. For three days, the walled city will be designated for various sessions on literature and performance arts. CLF’s aim is to celebrate peace, heritage and 70 years of Pakistan and highlight the cultural treasure trove of the country.

“Due to circumstances beyond our control, the security situation demanded that we postpone the festival. Initially, it was scheduled to be held from December 8-10, 2017. We deeply regret the inconvenience caused. We shall overcome these challenges swiftly to make our children happy, multiply the love for stories, storytelling, creativity and reading for imagination,” said Baela Jamil, the founder of CLF while announcing the new dates.
