Chief secretary urges economic institutions to enhance business volume

KARACHI: Sindh Chief Secretary Rizwan Memon on Tuesday urged the economic development institutions to make concerted efforts for enhancing business volumes.

He was presiding over a meeting on “ease of doing business” with a special focus on a World Bank report, says a statement here on Tuesday.

The chief secretary said that no stone would be left unturned in making the required assistance available with regard to doing business with ease and upgrading business structure through technological assistance etc.

Sindh Planning and Development Board Chairman Muhammad Waseem asked the participants of the meeting to suggest ways and means to help enhance the business.

Sindh Board of Investment Chairperson Naheed Memon suggested the establishment of a facilitation centre.

Prominent economist Dr Amjad Bashir also made a presentation on the occasion.
