Six outlaws held; 2.5 kg hashish and five pistols recovered

ISLAMABAD: “Islamabad police have arrested six outlaws from various areas of the city and recovered 2.5 kilograms of hashish and five pistols from them”, a police spokesman said on Monday.

The spokesman said that Noon Police Station Sub-Inspector Muhammad Mumtaz arrested a drug peddler, Najam Uddin and recovered 2.5 kilograms hashish from him.

On a tip-off in another incident, Bhara Kau ASI Aashiq Hussain from along with his team raided a hideout of dacoits and arrested three people while three 30 bore pistols were also recovered from them. The nabbed men have been identified as Asif, Arif and Niaz.

Meanwhile, Golra Police Station Sub-Inspector Niaz Muhammad arrested Asim Khan for aerial firing and recovered a 30 bore pistol from him. Similarly, Ramana Police Station ASI Nur Muhammad arrested Nadir Aslam for involvement in aerial firing and recovered a 9-mm pistol from him.

Cases have been registered against the arrested people and further investigation is underway. Islamabad SSP Sajid Kiani has appreciated this performance and directed all police officials for effective policing measures in the city.
