Punjab CM calls on new Chinese ambassador

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shahbaz Sharif on Monday visited Chinese embassy and presented a bouquet to the newly appointed ambassador Yao Jing.

During his meeting with the Chinese ambassador, Shehbaz Sharif expressed well wishes to the Chinese ambassador for getting appointed as his country’s ambassador to Pakistan. The two dignitaries discussed a range of issues including bilateral interests, China Pakistan Economic Corridor (CPEC) projects and extending cooperation between the two countries to various other sectors.

The China-Pakistan friendship and the economic cooperation between the two countries is strengthening with each passing minute, Shahbaz told Mr Jing.

 

Lauding Shahbaz for working tirelessly to promote Pak-China friendship and implementation of CPEC projects the Chinese ambassador termed Shahbaz’s determination and services in this regard unforgettable. The CPEC projects are being completed speedily in Punjab province under the leadership of Shahbaz Sharif, he added.

Calling Pakistan and China extremely close and trust friends the Chinese ambassador added that CPEC represents the development vision of the leadership of the two countries and it has given a new direction to Pak-China relations.
