PESHAWAR: Protest by the students of Peshawar University continued for the seventh consecutive day on Monday against the recent increase in tuition fees.
The protesting students set up a camp outside the administration block of the university and said that they would continue their protests until the10 per cent hike in tuition fees is taken back.
The students also demand the provision of scholarships to deserving students as well as the provision of an endowment fund and research grants to PhD students.
One of their complaints is that they are not being provided with important facilities, including hostels for day scholars and transport facilities for students living in hostels.
According to the university administration, a meeting will be held on December 7 with the students to discuss the hike in tuition fees.
