The attack in Peshawar yet again points towards a need for global coordination to tackle the threat of terrorism and eradicating those who seek to undermine legitimate governments, said Resolute Support Mission spokesperson Captain Tom Greshbak on Monday.

The Nato-led Resolute Support Mission in Afghanistan called global coordination to counter terrorism in the aftermath of Peshawar attack that claimed nine lives and wounded 32 people.

Assailants clad in burqas stormed into Agriculture Training Institute (ATI) early Friday morning and opened fire, causing the deaths.

“Resolute Support offers most sincere condolences to the families of those martyred and injured in the attack on the students and faculty of the ATI,” Greshbak stated.

The army media wing, hours after the operation to clear the attack site of terrorists, had said the attack was orchestrated by militants based in Afghanistan and urged the Afghan government to take a stern action against the terrorists operating from its soil.
