LAHORE: The Lahore High Court (LHC) on Monday disposed of a petition seeking whereabouts of Majlis-e -Wahdat-e-Muslimeen (MWM) leader Syed Nasir Abbas after he was produced before it.
LHC bench was hearing the petition filed by the missing MWM leader’s brother, Syed Ali Abbas, who approached the court seeking directives for the law enforcement agencies to trace and produce his brother before it.
The bench disposed off the petition after the law enforcement officials produced the missing person in the court.
Earlier, the petitioner had claimed four armed men picked up his brother from Lahore’s Wapda Town in an elite force’s vehicle and neither did they disclose his whereabouts nor presented him in any court of law.
The petitioner alleged that Nasir was abducted at the behest of Law Minister Rana Sanaullah and therefore, pleaded that the law enforcement agencies be directed to produce his missing brother in the court. He further requested it to direct police to provide security because he feared for his life.
