HARIPUR: The police detained a young boy from Haripur city for allegedly writing a pro-India slogan on one of the boundary walls of his house.

The city police raided a house in Makhan Colony on Sunday morning on a tip-off and found the slogan “Hindustan Zindabad” (long live India) written on the boundary wall of the house. After further questioning the inmates, it was later discovered by the police that a boy named Sajid Shah was responsible for writing the slogan. The police arrested Sajid and registered a criminal case against him under section 505, which entails a jail term of up to seven years.

The police also discovered that Shah was an Indian movie aficionado, so much so that he had started praising India publicly.
