LAHORE: In a historic milestone for progression of medical facilities in Pakistan, 7-year-old Zainab successfully underwent kidney transplant operation at Shaikh Zayed Medical Complex (SZMC), Lahore.
It is important to note that this is the first time a child has undergone such a procedure in Pakistan and with new facilities, SZMC is now equipped to cater to treating patients belonging to all age groups.
The hospital has introduced kidney transplantation for kids and in the first case, Zainab underwent the surgery, after her mother donated the kidney. Both Zainab and her mother are healthy post surgery.
Zaineb’s parents thanked the doctors at SZMC and were happy with their daughter’s treatment.
