Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif has said that after Lahore and Multan, Speedo Bus service is soon to be commenced confidently in coming week in the districts Lodhran and Bahawalpur.
Delivering standard, rapid and modern transportation services to the people was our primary priority for which resources of billions of rupees have been spent to provide people with comfortable and dignified travelling facilities, he added. The CM said this while addressing a meeting through video-link which was held to review headway of this project and other related issues. Talking at this moment, the CM said that the Metro Bus Service has assumed a compelling part to enhance transport sector and millions of people were reaching their destinations every day through this service. He said that latest system of Metro Bus Service has brought ground-breaking change in the transport sector. He further added that launching of Speedo Bus Service for convenience of citizen was a revolutionary step of Punjab government as Speedo Buses in Lahore and Multan have provided public with decorous travelling facilities likewise all arrangements have been completed for the launch of Speedo Buses in Lodhran and Bahawalpur.
Moreover, he added that this wonderful bus service would be a gift of Punjab government for the people there and latest system of e-ticketing has been introduced to travel through these buses.
Provincial Minister for Transport Mujtaba Shuja-ur-Rehman, MNA Mehar Ishtaiq Ahmed, Advisor Dr Umar Saif, chief secretary, Planning and Development chairman and other officials attended the meeting through video link from Civil Secretariat while deputy commissioners of the concerned districts and Bahawalpur Division commissioner participated in the meeting through video link from Commissioner Office, Bahawalpur.
