PML-N’s CEC expected to meet on Monday 

ISLAMABAD: Former prime minister Nawaz Sharif has summoned a session of Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) Central Executive Committee in Islamabad on Monday (today).

It may be mentioned know here that this would the first meeting of the PML-N’s new executive committee which will be held with Nawaz Sharif in the chair at 12:30PM at the Punjab House, Islamabad.

According to reports, the meeting is expected to be attended by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif, Maryam Nawaz, Hamza Shehbaz, Punjab Law Minister Rana Sanaullah, Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal and Minister of State for Interior Affairs Chaudhry Nisar.

The PML-N leadership will discuss matters pertaining to party’s future and other organisational issues.

Reports also said that Nawaz is expected to travel to London on December 5.

On Saturday, the ruling PML-N announced the 109 members of its Central Working Committee (CWC) and 27- members of Central Executive Committee (CEC).

Both Maryam Nawaz and Hamza Shahbaz were announced to be a part of 27-member CEC which only contains the top tier of PML-N leadership. Other leaders include Raja Zafar-ul-Haq, former interior minister Chaudhary Nisar Ali Khan, Parvez Rasheed, Foreign Minister Khawaja Asif, Ahsan Iqbal, Ayaz Sadiq, Information Minister Marriyum Aurangzeb, and Railways Minister Khawaja Saad Rafique.
