Muqam lays wreath on grave of martyr of Agriculture Institute attack

PESHAWAR: Advisor to Prime Minister Ameer Muqam Sunday said that the cowardly attack of enemies cannot deter the courage of the nation.

He said this while talking to media after laying a floral wreath on the grave of student Bilal Ahmad who was martyred in Agriculture Training Directorate attack on Friday.

The leader visited the residence of Bilal Ahmad at Lewani area in Shangla district and expressed condolences to the members of the bereaved family.

Muqam said the parents of the martyr deserve the highest appreciation for being proud over the sacrifice of their son.

Muqam said that militants targeted innocent individuals, but such cowardly attempts won’t frighten people’s courage to fight against terrorism and extremism.

He said it was clearly evident from the fact that the terrorists had foreign hands behind them and want to destabilise Pakistan.

He said with stern and effective steps taken by Pakistan Army against terrorists, now they were in search of soft targets like educational institutions.

He said that the government was taking measures in this regard. He also paid tribute to Pakistan Army and police.

He said that Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi, PML-N Chief Nawaz Sharif, along with the entire nation, were in grief and sorrow over the sad incident. He emphasised the need for unity against terrorism.

The federal government has announced one million rupees for the heirs of victims, Rs500,000 for seriously injured, while Rs200,000 for minorly injured, which would be given within a week, he said.
