Pakistan’s off-spinner Mohammad Hafeez, who is suspended from bowling in international cricket, has yet to commence work on re-modification of his bowling action under Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB) in National Cricket Academy (NCA).
The bowler was suspended from bowling in international cricket by ICC last month after an independent assessment found his bowling action to be illegal.
The PCB had announced that the bowler will work with PCB’s bowling review panel at NCA. However, the review of his bowling action has yet to be commenced formally.
Sources say that Hafeez has requested the board for the appointment of a bowling action expert who has also worked with him in the past but PCB isn’t convinced yet.
“Hafeez wants to work with Carl Crow or Saqlain Mushtaq, both have worked with him in the past. PCB has suggested biomechanics expert Paul Hurrion to work with Hafeez,” the source explained.
“Mohammad Hafeez is eagerly waiting to hear from PCB on a final decision regarding the roadmap to work on his bowling action,” the source added.
Meanwhile, uncertain on PCB’s plan, Hafeez has decided to play the Quaid-e-Azam Trophy super 8 round for his team SNGPL.
