FAISALABAD: The Counter Terrorism Department (CTD) on Saturday killed three alleged militants belonging to Tehreek-e-Taliban Pakistan (TTP) while two of them managed to escape during an operation in Sandil Bar area of Faisalabad.
In an intelligence-based operation in the late hours of Saturday night, the CTD intercepted the militants who were on their way to Faisalabad through Sandal Bar area. However, the militants started firing on the counter-terrorism team as they approached and in a shootout that ensued, three militants were shot dead by the anti-terror force.
Weapons, explosives, detonators and motorcycles were seized from the possession of the terrorists, the CTD stated.
