Imran Khan does not want conditions to improve for people of Punjab: Shehbaz

LAHORE: Punjab Chief Minister Shehbaz Sharif remarked that the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief Imran Khan does not want conditions to improve for the people of Punjab.

While speaking to media on Saturday, he said that the politics of dharnas (sit-ins) has hindered Pakistan’s progress and that Imran Khan and his party have become huge hurdles in the way of progress in the country.

He said that PTI does not care about mass transit projects as they travel in their Pajeros. He further said that with the orange train project, Punjab government wants to help the common people.

PTI will be held accountable in the court of people and God, Shehbaz said, adding that they will have to answer for their actions.

Earlier, Shehbaz visited the Pakistan Kidney and Liver Transplant Institute, which is currently under construction.

On November 7, Shehbaz had shared that the first phase of the 360-bed hospital will be completed by December 25.
