ISLAMABAD: Nuclear scientist Dr Abdul Qadeer Khan was declared distinguished alumnus of three international universities, according to a local newspaper.
The University of Leuven, Belgium; Technical University of Berlin, Germany; and the Technological University of Delft, Holland, are the universities that have declared him as their distinguished alumnus, according to reports.
Dr Khan has been under house detention for the last 13 years for his alleged role in international nuclear proliferation. He had studied at these universities before he became a nuclear scientist and returned to Pakistan in mid-1970.
