LAHORE: Khadim Hussain Rizvi and Ashraf Asif Jalali have become embroiled in a war of words over the issue of Tehreek Labaik Ya Rasool Allah (TLYR) chairmanship, according to reports by a private news channel.
Speaking exclusively to a private news channel program, Jalali, whose party is staging a sit-in outside Punjab Assembly, said that he only supported Khadim Hussain Rizvi in his cause but does not recognize the agreement between the cleric and the government as he (Jalali) was not taken into confidence.
He further stated that Rizvi was heading a different organisation and their paths have been different since about a year.
Replying to the allegations, Khadim Rizvi maintained that he or his party has nothing to do with the sit-in organised by Ashraf Jalali or his party. He further clarified that all the sit-ins across the country were organised on his party’s call and this Lahore sit-in too should end but because of self- serving agendas of Jalali, the Lahore sit-in was not being cleared.
