ISLAMABAD: Federal Education and Professional Training Minister Engr Muhammad Balighur Rehman said on Thursday that a national stakeholders’ conference would soon be held to share the findings of the National Achievement Test (NAT) 2016.
He said this while chairing a meeting of officers from the ministry of federal education and professional training and its attached departments.
National Education Assessment System (NEAS) Director Dr Syed Kamalud Din gave a presentation to the minister on NAT 2016 findings.
The minister noted that all provinces had fully participated in the NAT 2016, saying that the quality of education had improved in the country.
He recalled that the first NAT conducted by NEAS during the present government’s tenure was held in 2014 while the second one was held in 2016. He lauded the role of the NEAS team and said that assessments were an extremely important element for of education system.
He said that conceptual learning was vital for students and that it was possible in their native or local language.
The minister added that sports and physical activities were also essential for students’ wellbeing as a healthy body contained a healthy mind.
