Eid Milad-un-Nabi to be celebrated with religious fervour on Friday

ISLAMABAD/LAHORE/KARACHI/PESHAWAR: With only one day left in Eid Milad-un-Nabi, people across the country are finalising their preparations to mark the birthday of Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) with religious zeal on Friday.

Like every year, the government and religious organisations have planned a number of activities including, Milad processions, seminars, conferences, and discussion programmes to celebrate the annual event.

People across the country have been decorating and illuminating their houses and streets, besides bazaars, with lights and green flags to show their respect and love for Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him).

All bazaars, commercial shopping centres, and government and private buildings were being illuminated creatively across the country. the government departments concerned have been directed to give every possible help and clearance to routes of Milad processions.

Many vendors have set up colorful stalls with unique collection of badges, stickers, flags and banners inscribed with religious slogans, to pay respect and reverence to the Holy Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) across the country.

On the other hand, the day would begin with special prayers in mosques throughout the country. Eid Milad-un-Nabi’ processions would be taken out and Milad gatherings would be held across the country to celebrate the sacred day.

Provincial governments have already prepared contingency security plans with coordination of other law enforcement agencies to guard the processions and other events to be held on the day.
