PESHAWAR: With two days remaining before Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW), preparations in Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) and Federally Administered Tribal Areas (FATA) have reached their peak as people have illuminated houses, offices and other buildings with immense zeal to express their love for the Holy Prophet.
The residents of Peshawar have illuminated houses, bungalows, bazaars, markets, mosques and offices with colourful buntings, lights and green flags to show their immeasurable love with the Holy Prophet (PBUH) on the occasion of 12th Rabiul Awwal, to be observed on Friday (December 1).
Large banners and gigantic billboards were displayed across the Peshawar city by people and religious scholars in connection with Eid Milad-un-Nabi celebrations.
Moreover, special programmes, including declamation contests, naat and durood-o-salam competitions have been planned by government and semi-government bodies, educational institutes, and social and religious organisations.
Meanwhile, owners of buses, trucks, taxis and motorcycles can be seen decorating their vehicles artistically to pay homage to the last prophet (PBUH).
Ulema and religious scholars have been invited to various programmes to educate children on the prophet’s teachings and to highlight his supreme and matchless services for humanity.
Vendors have established a number of stalls beside the routes which would be followed by processions on 12th of Rabi-ul-Awal, selling banners, badges, stickers and flags to people.
