LAHORE: Orange Line Metro Train (OLMT) Project has been using funds from other developmental projects in progress across Punjab and even then it has started becoming a financial overburden for Traffic Engineering Planning Agency (TEPA).
According to latest reports, officers who have been working on this project have been receiving their pay from TEPA despite the non- existence of a deputation notification.
Transport Department and Lahore Development Authority (LDA) had hired 20 officers and 45 workers belonging to TEPA to work for OLMT Project but no deputation notification was released. Despite repeated written notices sent to LDA Admin Department, no notification has been released yet.
Due to the non- issuance of a deputation notification by LDA and the salaries continuing to be paid from TEPA, the planning agency is in an acute financial trouble.
