Four development schemes worth Rs 17070 million approved by Punjab PDWP

LAHORE: The Punjab Provincial Development Working Party (PDWP) in the 33rd meeting of the current fiscal year 2017-18, has approved four development schemes of irrigation and health sectors with an estimated cost of Rs 17070.301 million.

P&D Chairman Muhammad Jahanzeb Khan presided over the meeting held here on Tuesday.

The meeting was also attended by P&D Secretary Iftikhar Ali Sahoo, all members of the Planning & Development Board, concerned provincial secretaries, P&D Assistant Chief Coordination-II Hafiz Muhammad Iqbal and other senior representatives of the relevant provincial departments.

The development schemes approved during the meeting included the construction of Dadhocha Dam, Rawalpindi (Revised) at the cost of Rs 6137.571 million, rehabilitation and upgrade of Fakhar Flood Bund RD 10+600 to 25+300m Rajanpur (DCRIP) at the cost of Rs 636.56 million, rehabilitation and upgrade of River Training Works of Balloki Head Works, District Kasur and Nankana Sahib (DCRIP) at the cost of Rs 1303.17 million and chief minister’s Stunting Reduction Program at the cost of Rs 8993.000 million.
