KARACHI: The Sindh government has announced a public holiday to mark the occasion of Eid Milad-un-Nabi (SAW) on December 1, in a notification issued on Tuesday.
The notification is in effect for the staffers of all offices, autonomous, semi-autonomous bodies, corporations and local Councils under the administrative control of Sindh government excluding essential services.
Meanwhile, a number of religious, social and cultural organisations are finalizing their programmes to organise Milad and seerat gatherings where speeches will be conducted to highlight various aspects of the life and teachings of the Holy Prophet (PBUH).
Mosques‚ homes‚ plazas‚ roads and all kinds of buildings will be decorated with green flags‚ colourful buntings‚ and fancy lights, a sign of great admiration and devotion.
