KARACHI: University of Karachi (KU) on Monday signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) with Guangxi Normal University, China.
KU Vice Chancellor (VC) Professor Dr Muhammad Ajmal Khan and Guangxi Normal University, China President Professor Dr He Zubin signed the MoU at the VC secretariat at University of Karachi.
On the occasion, Dr Ajmal said, “The purpose of the MoU is to develop academic and educational cooperation and to promote mutual understanding between the two universities.”
In the backdrop of CPEC and exemplary relations between Pakistan and China, academic, linkages between varsities of both the countries was a significant matter, Dr Ajmal Khan added.
Dr Ajmal met the five-member delegation of top Chinese scientists, including officials from different institutes of Guangxi, China.
According to the MoU, both varsities would develop collaborative activities in the academic areas, including students’ and faculty exchanges, establishing a joint diploma and Bachelor/ Master/ Doctorate degree programmes, collaborative research projects, lectures, symposiums and exchange of academic information, publications and relevant materials.
