Former interior minister Chaudhry Nisar rejected reports of people getting injured in his house, saying “why is it being said that people were killed at my house or that my house was attacked? No one was injured there.”
Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz’s (PML-N) senior leader went on to offer advice to Interior Minister Ahsan Iqbal, saying that he should avoid making fictitious statements just “to cover up his incompetence.”
“Isn’t [Ahsan] he the same person who had said that he would clear the protest within three hours. And now he’s putting all the responsibility on the courts,” Nisar said.
Earlier, it was being reported that former interior minister’s house in Rawalpindi was attacked by religious fanatics.
“The protestors tried to attack the minister’s house because of which the main gate and walls of the house were damaged,” a PML-N leader had said.
