Anti-PPP alliance vows to give tough time to PPP in next general elections
The Grand Democratic Alliance (GDA), amassing a large number of political workers, on Sunday demonstrated a power show in Sukkur, where its leaders claimed that they will form a government in Sindh after the next general elections.
The GDA leaders, besides criticising the incumbent provincial government, vowed that they will give tough time to PPP in the next general elections.
The speakers alleged that the province has been ruined under the PPP rule during the past 10 years.
The people of Sindh were looking towards judiciary, and not to the government, for redressal of their miseries, the speakers claimed.
The convention was chaired by Pakistan Muslim League-Functional chief Pir Sabghatullah Shah Rashidi.
It’s crucial to mention here that GDA is an anti-PPP political platform in the province.
Senior political leaders, including Zulfiqar Mirza, Ghoas Ali Shah, Safdar Abbasi, federal minister Sadaruddin Shah Rashidi, Ghulam Murtaza Jatoi, Ayaz Latif Palejo, MPA Nusrat Sehar Abbasi and others addressed the political gathering.
Earlier, former Sindh chief minister and PML-N leader Arbab Ghulam Rahim announced to quit the party in protest against the use of force on Faizabad protesters.
“I will have nothing to do with the PML-N since today,” he said, adding that what happened yesterday should not have happened.
He said Sharif was equally responsible for what he called the dismal situation of Sindh, adding former PM was responsible for controversial amendment in Elections Act 2017.
Lambasting the PPP, he said that the party was known for bogus recruitments in the provincial education department.
