PML-N, PTI supporters lock horns after TV debate gone wrong

LAHORE: Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz (PML-N) on Thursday got into a scuffle during a Samaa TV talk show, after an exchange of hot words between Ejaz Chaudhry and Uzma Bukhari.

During a debate between Ejaz and Uzma over the recent rejection of the bill—seeking removal of ousted premier Nawaz Sharif as party head— that opposition had tabled in the National Assembly.

“If you won’t let me speak then I won’t let you do the same,” shouted Bukhari at Ejaz Chaudhry.

“This is the attitude of PML-N,” responded Ejaz Chaudhry loudly.

Following the exchange of hot words, the situation got out of hand as PML-N and PTI supporters indulged into a fighting and subsequently host Bilal Qutub had to separate them.

The scuffle left the guests hapless and they were later escorted away from the ruckus under security.
