ISLAMABAD: An anti-terrorism court (ATC) hearing the PTV attack case on Friday asked Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) Chairman Imran Khan to record his statement before police authorities in connection with the four cases against him.

The hearing of the cases pertaining to PTV and parliament attack was later adjourned till Dec 7.

While talking to media after appearing before the ATC judge, Imran Khan said that the federal government has termed his political protest ‘terrorism’ so that he can be silenced.

“Political people are being accused of terrorism,” he added.

Khan said that he wanted to see stronger institutions in Pakistan, adding that the ousted prime minister is attacking the institutions in an attempt to save his illegally acquired wealth.

“Don’t compare me with Nawaz. My comparison with him is like comparing me with Sultana Daku,” he said, adding, “Nawaz should tell how his financial assets were shifted abroad.”

Khan recalled that when the Supreme Court had issued a verdict against former prime minister Yousuf Raza Gillani, Nawaz had called for respect for the court’s decision.
