MULTAN: Over 400,000 youngsters from Punjab will be imparted technical training under the Punjab Skills Development Fund (PSDF), a private media outlet reported on Tuesday.
The training will enable the youth to earn their livelihood through self-employment initiatives or avail opportunities in foreign countries.
According to reports, PSDF Technical Assistant Manager Zohaib Haq said that over 200,000 youngsters have already been trained in 200 different trades under the initiative. He disclosed that PSDF was starting another initiative ‘Industrial Training Programme 2018’ seeking an active involvement of business and industry.
He further stated that youth would be provided training in accordance with the feedback from industry. Also, the private sector would be required to provide jobs to around 50% of the trained youth and PSDF would pay the training expenses to private companies.
