QUETTA: Special Assistant to Balochistan Chief Minister on Inter-Provincial Coordination Agha Nawab Shah said on Wednesday that the 10-year development package announced by Prime Minister Shahid Khaqan Abbasi during his visit to Quetta would bring about extremely desirable results for Balochistan.

Speaking to visitors calling upon him at his office, Shah said that the package announced by the prime minister was worth Rs20 billion and included the development of different sectors including education, health, gas, electricity, agriculture and irrigation. He said that these development efforts would help in bringing stability to the province and would overcome the sense of deprivation the inhabitants of the province currently feel.

He, moreover, lamented the targeting of innocent workers and police personnel by those who opposed the China-Pak Economic Corridor (CPEC).

He said that the efforts of federal government and Balochistan Chief Minister Nawab Sanaullah Khan Zehri had put Balochistan on development’s path.
