KARACHI: Pakistan People’s Party (PPP) member of provincial assembly (MPA) Saeed Ghani on Tuesday claimed that his party’s vote bank in the port city is bigger than that of the Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM).

Talking to reporters before the provincial assembly session, he said that peace had been restored in the metropolis because MQM’s vote-taking system of stamping had become faulty.

Claiming that PPP enjoyed a bigger vote bank in the city than MQM, Ghani said that the fate of any political alliance against his party would be the same as it had always been in the past. All the people of Sindh Democratic Alliance are in contact with us, he added.

Saying that PPP had won the recent by-election, he said that MQM used to kill the people for changing electoral results, adding that this would not happen now.

Replying to a question, Ghani said that he was a political worker who did not dream, adding that the dreams of his colleague and provincial legislator Manzoor Wassan, always became true.

MQM-Pakistan and Pak Sarzameen Party would be the one and same before the next general elections, Ghani predicted.
