LARKANA: A large rally was staged by employees of irrigation department from the Irrigation Complex on Tuesday on the call of Sindh Irrigation Trade Union Muttahida Federation.
The rally after marching on various roads reached outside the residence of Sindh Home Minister Suhail Anwar Siyal where they held a protest demonstration and a sit-in for one hour.
Addressing on the occasion, the protest leader said that the Sindh High Court, Sukkur bench, had directed the Sindh Government in 2014 to give time scale to irrigation employees along with upgrading of some posts but till date, the government has not implemented it.
They warned the authorities to accept their demands for awarding time scale, upgradation and death; else, they will enlarge the scope of their protest.
The rally was led by Sindh Irrigation Trade Union Muttahida Federation chief Allah Bux Dhamrah.
