Per prediction of former Muttahida Qaumi Movement (MQM) leader Saleem Shehzad on Tuesday, the MQM-Pakistan and Pak Sarzameen Party (PSP) would unite on the 12th of Rabbiul Awwal.

Shahzad said this while speaking to reporters outside a court, where he had to attend hearing proceedings.

He said, “I believe that the MQM-P and the PSP will form a political alliance in the coming week. There is a chance that the alliance will take form on 12th Rabbiul Awwal.”

The former MQM leader also said that he had held talks with leaders from both the parties to form a united front.

Shahzad also said that city district officials should receive their fair share of authority and funds in order to keep the city clean.

Separately, Pakistan People’s Party’s Saeed Ghani also predicted that the MQM-P and the PSP would join hands, saying that both the parties would form an alliance before general elections 2018.
